Lyla Masterson is a recent graduate from the University of Oregon where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree.

She got passion for advocacy from her own family. Growing up with a brother with special needs allowed Lyla to understand what it was like to live in a world that was not accessible to those with differing abilities and how things as simple as moving around freely was something that most take for granted. Having such a personal connection to someone with disabilities has made her incredibly passionate about fighting for equal opportunities for the disabled community to access basic human rights and equal treatment under the law.

Lyla now translates her writing, organization, and research skills to her job as a paralegal at A2Z Educational Advocates. Her responsibilities include preparing and sorting documents, creating comprehensive timelines and summaries of the facts of a case, writing legal letters, working directly with clients, and providing legal support to the office where needed.
